The Georgia Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Program is a joint effort of the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association, Georgia Beef Board, and the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension.
The mission of BQA is to empower our local producers through science-based production practices and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality beef from our pastures to the consumers’ plate.
This program focuses on:
- Low-Stress Handling: Techniques that improve animal welfare and producer safety.
- Facility & Transport: Designing and managing environments that minimize injury and stress.
- Robust Record Keeping: Proving our commitment to transparency and herd health.
- Preventative Healthcare: Protecting the integrity of the herd through proactive management.
